What does a 5kW solar system cost in Pakistan?
For anyone holding two or three quotes that look nothing like each other.
The short version
- • Divide the price by the watts. That number compares any two quotes.
- • A cheap quote is usually missing something, not giving you a deal.
- • Ask what is not included. That is where the difference hides.
Three companies. Three different prices. Nobody explained why.
This is normal. Here is how to sort it out.
Why there is no fixed price
Panels come from abroad and are bought in dollars. When the dollar moves, the price moves.
A price from three months ago is not today's price.
The one sum you need
A 5kW system is 5,000 watts.
Take the total price. Divide by 5,000. That is your price per watt.
Do this for every quote. Now you can compare them.
If the quote does not name the panel, it is not a quote
Ask for the panel and inverter brand and model, in writing. "550W Tier-1 panel" lets the company deliver whatever is cheapest that week.
What is often left out
A cheap quote is usually a shorter quote. Ask about each of these.
